In 2015, I had a deep desire for a change in my life; a better balance with less stress. I always dreamt of working for myself, making the decisions, while also helping others. I garnered my courage and resigned from my position.
Having earned a Master of Science Degree in Community Services, I started work on certification to become a grief counselor.
At the same time, a friend had begun a massage therapy program and was enjoying it. Curious, I did research. It wasn't long before I too enrolled in a program in my area.
Within two months of massage coursework, a true passion developed for the field of massage therapy and bodywork. Helping others was a predominant focus. The benefits massage has on ones life, health and well-being are astounding. Before long, massage therapy became my central focus; it was the dream job I had not known I wanted, but always hoped for.
I am passionate about my profession and am grateful to be able to live a dream and help others too.
Massage aids the mind, spirit and health of both the receiver and the therapist. It provides a true renewal of hope.
